»Anxiety may be compared with dizziness. He whose eye happens to look down the yawning abyss becomes dizzy. But what is the reason for this? It is just as much in his own eye as in the abyss, for suppose he had not looked down. Hence, anxiety is the dizziness of freedom, which emerges when the spirit wants to posit the synthesis and freedom looks down into its own possibility, laying hold of finiteness to support itself. Freedom succumbs to dizziness.«
Søren Kierkegaard: The Concept of Anxiety
BACKGROUND
FALL is a trans-aesthetic performance. An experimental work that in a fusion of contemporary dance, live electronic music and illusory scenography confronts it’s audience with the universally human conditions of anxiety and despair. In four different sequences a woman is trying not to lose her foothold as she finds herself confronted with inscrutable corners of her internal house; unconscious places somewhere between restrained motions and uncontrollable forces. Also the choreography and set design is build up by this paradoxical condition of life as it is fettered by both repetition and transformation in every action. This performance leads us all to a free fall into existential and psychological doubt, where the best advice yet ever given is to to let go of your self.

»FALL embraces through four acts the concepts anxiety and fall as existential conditions. The two performers Vittoria Lasorella and Filip JA manage each with their own expression to set the tone, and we were absorbed into a new theatrical experiment from the director’s hand.
FALL succeeded incredibly delicate in generating an intense space on stage. This work keeps its audience caught with exciting choreographic solutions and excellent music. One disappear into the dancer’s and musician’s universe, while the time flies by. FALL is a total experience and is of extraordinary quality.«
