Daniel Gloger, one of today’s most acclaimed countertenors, is normally very cautious about sharing stories from his personal life with the public. In fact, not many people know that he keeps his private loft on the third floor of WERK3 located in the heart of Munich’s most vibrant districts ’Werksviertel’. When not touring and performing at prestigious opera houses around the world, Daniel Gloger enjoys to come here to refocus and regenerate himself. The Münchener Biennale is thrilled to present an exceptional event in their program this year when the notorious artist is opening the doors to his spacious loft over four nights in June. A limited number of guests will have the rare opportunity to visit Daniel Gloger at home for an open talk about his life and career; up close and personal.

»To be quite honest, I’ve never done anything like this before. But I’m delighted to be able to show you a glimpse of my life – behind the curtain – so to speak.«

The Berlin-based artists Kaj Duncan David (composer) and Troels Primdahl (director/choreographer) started their interdisciplinary research and collaboration in 2014. Within each of their fields they have developed a certain spectacular minimalism. Though, when it all comes together in Munich it is hard to distil their newest work into any category: »This time we ended up somewhere in-between a ‘centrifugal operetta’ and a ‘mockumentary performance’, as we are playing around with the different identities of our protagonist Daniel Gloger, who basically plays himself stuck in a time that more or less reflects our accelerated now.«
